A book I am very eager to get

I have to this point read only excerpts of this book, studied its table of contents, and read the guiding principles behind it.
All of this makes me eager to make this work part of the family personal library.
The book opens with a Hadassah philosophy statement connecting 'refuah' or 'healing' with Jewish religious practice. This is an important statement in itself, as it outlines a first principle of Judaism. We are not to be passive and fatalistic in regard to our own health, but rather to actively take advantage of those skills, powers, techniques G-d has given us.
The Jewish people who have gone through so many sufferings in their history have always placed a very great emphasis on 'life ' and on 'health'.
Among the special features of this book are those which discuss diseases which are , or have been especially prevalent among Jews, such as Tay-Sachs, or Gaucher's disease. There is also important information on the whole subject of genetic testing.
There is a section on fundamental principles for maintaining good health.
I am especially eager to read the section on 'stress' which statistics show seems to be more prevalent among Jews than the general American population.
This work seems to me a very important one, one vital to every Jewish home.
