I love this one-of-a-kind DVD
This qigong practice is one I use often! It is perfect for when you are feeling something is off about your energy but only have 5 minutes to do something about it. The practice is basically opening up all the joints and then bouncing. It takes less than 5 minutes and it really makes a difference. One of the other things I like about this DVD is that it has the daily practice separate from the explanation/instructions so you don't have to rehear all the explanation every time unless you want to do so. If you are looking for the more typical 1/2 hour to hour meditative slow moving qigong, you might want to look elsewhere. But if you are looking for another tool to have to help manage your daily energy life, this is a keeper and I highly recommend!

QiGong is not like fast food
Five minutes of even effective, intensive Qi Gong exercises can hardly help much. I recommend the series (Exercises to Heal) by Lee Holden, introduced on PBS. The exercises are exquisitely taught in the midst of a moving stream with soft music -- the movement of nature matching the movement of the exercise. Also excellent and more academic in approach is QiGong Beginning Practice (a two disc set) with Francesco Garripoli. The first disc has an introduction and the regular set of exercises, from which one can choose a few or do all. The background is misty and high in the mountains. The second disc is an award winning documentary showing history of QiGong, its role today in modern China as preventative medicine.

An excellent way to start your day
I, too, do not usually write reviews of products however felt driven to do so after watching this video and performing the exercises. I liked how Karl's gentle tone led me through the execises in a simple and easy-to-understand fashion. Karl presented exactly what I needed to know in order to perform the exercises. The simple, yet elegant, motions in the video not only loosened my joints but allowed me to experience my Qi flow. I noticed that my breathing became constant on its own and that I felt great! I was truly having a Qi experience and I have to say that it was wonderful! I HIGHLY recommend this video to any person new to QiGong.
