A protégé's biography of his Nobel laureate mentor

Ralph Moss, a biochemistry PhD, got to know Albert von Szent-Gyorgi in the later years of Szent-Gyorgi's life. In Szent-Gyorgi, Moss got to know one of the giants of the last century, who was an MD, a Cambridge PhD, university rector, a Nobel prize laureate. He was even offered the presidency of Hungary.

Szent-Gyorgi was one of those utter geniuses who probably will never be the subject of a biography that does justice to all of his thinking, but for us lesser mortals this is a great book that provides an overview of his work. Moss acknowledges S-G's greatness without being blinded to his flaws.

Perhaps the most interesting part of the book is Moss's introduction to some of Szent-Gyýrgi's ideas that have still not made it into being general knowledge.
