Ms. Holmes was Right
If you want to improve your diet, this book may be of help. The book was published in 1980, and twenty-seven years have gone by, and she is still correct. The only thing she omits is the importance of omega-3 fats in the diet; these are essential in fighting cardiovascular disease, which is caused mainly by imflammation, not cholesterol. Physicians report that they never saw heart disease until the 1920's.

The Truth Shall Make You Healthy!
I am writing a book on diet and health, and this book is among the many that I have read in doing my research. I have ten years of personal experience and research concerning this subject, and I know that Marjorie Holmes undoubtedly found the truth of the diet and health issues. She also reveals the way that Government and industry have went out of their way to keep this information from the public as a result of their "love of money", which the Bible says is the root of all evil. Read the book The China Study if you want to see how most of her conclusions have been supported by this massive diet and health research project conducted by Cornell and Oxford Universities in cooperation with the Chinese government (in the 1980's/90's). And read World Without Cancer if you want to get an in-depth look at the mentality, politics and powers that are keeping the cure for cancer away from you.(Marjorie correctly identifies the answer to cancer and most degenerative diseases: remove all refined and processed foods, reduce or eliminate meat, replacing these with whole natural plant-based foods: vegetables, nuts, fruits and berries - especially raw ones). This information was first presented to me through a Spiritual revelation, and saved me from a serious medical condition. Make no mistake: All Truth Comes from God!

A Hodge podge of nonsense & quackery
Other than occasional intrusions of common sense, (ie eat a balanced diet & exercise) this book is an example of Christian Quackery. Someone who has read something from Prevention magazine, has heard a few testimonials, now presents herself as an expert on the subject of health & vitamins. I can't believe people would be so stupid as to actually believe this. This is cannon fodder for the Comedy Channel.
What is particularly pathetic is that she invokes the name of God & cites scripture to support nonsense. It's a sad day when good publishing houses allow such rubbish to be printed under their label. I hope they made there money back on this one.
If there were an option to score zero starts I would have given that. Or better yet, a negative five star rating.
