potty training book

I think this book has increased my 2 year old's interest in the potty. We have a bit of trouble with some of the examples as we don't cloth diaper and it shows a cloth diapering situation. We change some of the words to fit our family. This has helped him be more aware of potty training.

Disappointed...

After all the rave reviews this book has gotten I was surprised to be disappointed. My 21 month old daughter who LOVES books found this book to be utterly boring. (We began potty training about a month ago.) I tried reading it to her on several occasions but she lost interest after a couple of pages every time. Maybe it would be better for an older child. It seemed to have too many words and was very long.
I liked that they showed a baby breast feeding and a father being involved with everything. However, the illustrations were uninspired. The text is very straight forward which is either a plus or a minus (clear or boring?) depending on your point of view. It is definately instructional.
I will just have to keep looking for a potty training book I like. Or not. My daughter seems to be doing just fine without one.

My son wants us to read it over and over

This is a great book from a great author! We checked it out from the local library and I will be purchasing it today. My son loves it and has asked us to read it to him many times a day. Yes, the pictures can be graphic, but it is just everyday life. I recommend it!
