Great for Academic Interest

I used this book extensively when I was writing my thesis on Omega-3 Fatty Acids and Their Role in Osteoarthritis. The book gives detailed information on the role of n-3 fatty acids and unique perspectives on new research in the field. I don't not think this is a good book for a layman interested in general information on omega-3 fatty acids, but I would recommend it for anyone with an academic interest in the subject.
