Straight Facts

This book probably does present many valid points. However, I must point out that James Garner did NOT have a heart attack - ever. In a routine examination he was discovered to have an aortic aneurysm and only then was he found to need the bypass surgery as well. His doctors blamed both conditions on his many years of smoking.

Whether you feel beef is a health threat or not, to be credible you must keep your facts straight.

Well researched...an excellent book on life extension!

I have owned this particular book for almost a decade & it is always placed on my immediate book shelf as quick reference. I have often referred to it countless times.

Life extension has always been one of my pet subjects, on top of my many varied interests, when comes to reading & exploration.

I remember the first time I started to read this book, particularly after the Introduction & Chapter 1, I almost fell off the chair. I did not realise the damaging consequences of the toxic lifestyles fostered by industry, especially the petro-chemical & pharmacological industries.

Although some of the stuff may seem dated in today's context, in the light of unprecedented strides in science & technology research & development, I still believe the many strategies for staying alive remain pragmatic & applicable.

On the whole, I have found the book to be well researched. If you need quick information & practical instruction to start a personal revolution for life extension, read this book.

Fine advice, well-written!

Lee has written a wonderful book that takes on all the myths about dietary and lifestyle health that have been support for years by economic interests at the detrement of our society. I have used this book as a reference since it came out and a resource to those who might challange with so many erroneous dietary cliches (e.g. "drink milk to have stronger bones"). If every adult read this book and digested it, what an enlightened, healthy society we would become...if only. Great job Lee!!
