One tough MP3 player !

I purchased this MP3 player after reading many MP3 player reviews and decided this player offered the best value for me. This was a Christmas present for my granddaughter and she was thrilled to get it. A few days after Christmas my daughter informed me that the MP3 player had survived a near disaster. It was inadvertantly dropped into a toilet. After allowing the player to dry for a few hours, my granddaughter charged the battery and began using it and continues to use it trouble free !

Can't download podcasts or audiobooks -- at least not easily

I'll agree with everyone else's comments re. the proprietary software. I wanted to get an mp3 player to listen to podcasts and audiobooks in addition to music. I had no problems importing music from CDs to the player, but after multiple hours trying to figure it out, still can't download podcasts from itunes -- since you can't get podcasts on the Sony site! From what I can figure out, you have to burn those onto disk and then download them to the player. I'm returning this and finding something less tedious.

GREAT PRODUCT!!!!

I received this mp3 as a christmas gift and am thrilled with it. The software used isnt anymore complicated than the software for an ipod, and it is easy to put songs into the library from elsewhere on your computer, whether it be from cd's or other download programs, all you have to do is import the files to the library and then you can put them onto the player. Easy to use, simple, small, charges verrrrrry fast and can be used a lot before needing charged. i put every song i could possibly want to hear on it! excellent choice!
