nice player, but...

i just got my iaudio 6, after few minute of testing, the screen doesnt work anymore... it is on the way back now
i dont know are all the other i6 have this problem, maybe just me bad luck got a defective one.
over all it is a nice player with good sound quality.

EXCELLENT, but the HDD is a no go

One star for the problem with the micro HDD, causes the entire player to be a bust FOR ME.

I am a long time Cowon MP3 player owner: CW200, M3, U2, F2, iAudio 6, and soon D2. Purchased iaudio 6 for my daughter for Christmas to replace her Creative Zen Micro 6GB (a momentary stray see review). The day after Christmas the player would not start without 5 to 10 minute delay, when started it would shut off or freeze. Sent the player back for repair received it back Jan 10, 2007 and it broke again with same problem Jan 16, 2007. Did not want to have it repaired again so I sent it back to Amazon for a full refund.

Cowon players are EXCELLENT players with EXCELLENT sound quality and EXCELLENT build quality, however, the micro HDD players just are not ready for prime time... The smaller players using flash memory work FLAWLESSLY. I will continue to buy Cowon players as they are of EXCELLENT quality and give you much more bang for your buck. Should they make any other micro HDD players I WILL NOT BE A BUYER. Yes every company will have a lemon in the group of great players, but after my experiences, I will stay away from micro HDD players. Cowon had planned to use flash memory with this player under another name, D1, but that has been scrapped. Replace the micro HDD with flash and I am back in. Replacing this player with the iAudio D2.

With that said, every part of this player, except micro HDD, is EXCELLENT. I really enjoyed the navigation interface, functioned well a joy to use.

I was looking for more power and I found it!The IAudio6 is the best sounding most powerful MP3 for the buck.It take's a little getting used too,but it's worth the time and effort.If you want a MP3 that can blow you away with power,clarity, plenty of memory and FM to boot!This is it!
