Fantastic player

I have been using the Zen Vision M for over a month now and I must say I'm very happy with the product.
I have a question though - Could we use any AC charger which we can plug into the A/C Sync adapter that came with the player. I have a BlackBerry which also has a similar A/C charger. So I was thinking if I could charge my player with that charger instead of plugging it into my Laptop's USB port to charge it everytime. Any pointers would help !

Two players broken out of the box soured me on Creative

The thing wouldn't charge enough to even turn on after being plugged in for 17 hours. Called the Creative Zen tech support and they couldn't figure it out either, and advised me to exchange it. Fine, but the next one had the same problem. I'm a Systems Administrator, so this isn't a case of computer illiteracy, but rather of a poor quality product. Frankly, it's burned me out enough on mp3 players that I'm once again questioning whether it's really an improvement over a discman with mp3-cd playing capacity. If you get a working one, maybe it's a fantastic product, but personally, not wanting to get an iPod, I'll wait for the second or third wave of Zune players (once the inevitable Microsoft kinks are worked out) before I bother with mp3 players again. Simply not worth the effort.

For what it's worth, the Creative tech support people were quite courteous and easy to work with, although, of course, they couldn't get the thing to work either.

Pick Quality over Quantity

It makes me sad to have to give a bad review, but I am just telling it how it happened. I bought this Zen through another store, and was so excited to get it in. When I got it, I think it was a defective player, because it kept not turning off when I wanted it to, and I had had it less than 24 hours. The screen also started freezing up when I wanted to fastforward. The player itself was old, it said it was made in 2005, so I don't know how the newer ones are. I am going to get a better quality player even though it is more expensive.
