Great Product For The Price

I purchased two of these players after quite a bit of searching. My biggest criterias were price followed by performance. I was also looking for an adequate user interface, which I found.

This unit proved to be an unbelievable value. It comes with all the cables you need. You can play it adequately in the car. FM transmitters have some inherent problems, like radio frequencies that grow from weak to strong signal as you travel over distances and interfere with the player, but for local travel you can pick a frequency and it works fine.

Both of the players I purchased are working fine and sound great. The one I use froze once, but I was able to reset it by holding the on button down.

I am pleased with the player considering the tradeoffs I made before my purchase.

Say NO RCA

Do yourself a favor and save your money, that is, if u r thinking to purchase a RCA product. I have purchased the RCA Lyra RD2840A; and from day one, out the box it was nothing but problems, until the day that surely enough, never came back on. I contacted RCA and they referrer me to Thompson INC. and just so Thompson INC, could tell me that it was my tough luck!

Think about it, this product is created and there is practically no support and once your battery is dead, there is no replacement in the market. Which is telling you that once the battery is dead, "which they do die in about 12 months or so", you have no MP3 player. Now, the FCC had actually allowed for this manufacturer to conduct business this way? This is a $250.00 unit with a life span of about 12 months? If you have purchased a RCA MP3 player, we need to form an alliance, so we can take manufactures like RCA to court. This is a wake up call for us fools not to rush into buying products before thinking! Or option two, do something about it now, do not hesitate to contact me at any time for details on this issues.

Works Well

I have had no real problems with this item. Thought i had a problem and called the customer service number for this product and talked with a very helpful rep who solved my problem.
