Ernst Wilhelm is both a Vedic astrologer without parallel and a scholar beyond reproach. When learning Vedic astrology Ernst himself was so confounded with the endless conflicting translations, interpretations and re-interpretations of the core sanskrit Vedic scriptures that he decided to learn sanskrit and discover the unbiased truth for himself. "Classical Muhurta" is the third of his books based on his years of study and application of jyotish principles. While it is in some ways more narrow in focus than the fundamental "Vault of the Heavens" and "Core Yogas", "Classical Muhurta" moves you cogently, clearly and step-by-step through the process of learning the classical Vedic method for determining the appropriate timing for important activities (the author gives guidelines for 130 events and activities in the book). For most individuals learning the morass of techniques and interpretive possibilities in any form of astrology is not easy, but Ernst has gone further than any other author I have read to make learning this segment of Vedic astrology as lucid and pain free as is humanly possible.
